Caitlin Cassidy
Caitlin Cassidy is an exciting newcomer to the operatic stage.

She completed a Bachelor of Music (Classical Performance) and a Graduate Diploma of Music (Classical) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts under the vocal tutelage of Patricia Price, and is nearing completion of a Master of Arts (Creative Arts).

While a student, she performed in numerous operatic roles, including Mother Marie in The Dialogues of the Carmelites, Tituba in The Crucible and Mrs Worrall in English Eccentrics. She also performed in oratorio, as alto solo in Tippett's A Child of Our Time and Rossini's Petite messe solenelle, and gave three recitals, all of which earned her High Distinctions.

In 2010, she was awarded the Barbara MacLeod Scholarship for the Most Outstanding Female Classical Student. This award allowed her to pursue a short period of study in Germany at the Neil Semer Vocal Institute in 2011.

In 2011, Caitlin joined the West Australian Opera Chorus, and is currently the Bendat Scholar with WAO's Young Artist Program. Later in 2012, she will perform in concerts with WAO, including a tour to Broome where she will feature as a soloist in Opera Under the Stars and educational concerts in the surrounding schools.

Caitlin also teaches singing to Certificate IV students in the Classical Department at WAAPA.
