Jun Zhang
Jun Zhang, born in China, has a Bachelor Degree in Music Education. Hecompleted a Master of Arts (Performing Arts)and a Post Graduate Diploma in Arts Management at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2009 and 2010, and was the 2010 winner of the Evelyn and Ralph Thompson Memorial Scholarship with Art Song Perth.

In 2005, he began studies at the Australian Opera Studio in Perth for two years, where he performed the leading roles in The Tales of Hoffmann, Trouble in Tahiti, Manon, The Magic Flute and La fintagiardiniera, among others.

Since 2010 he has performed with West Australian Opera in productions of Carmen, Cavalleriarusticana, Pagliacci, La sonnambula, Electra and Madama Butterfly.

In 2013 he performed the roles of Borsa in Rigoletto, and Giuseppe in La traviata.

Jun continues to study specific operatic roles in Perth, and plans to audition in European opera houses in the near future.
