Emerging Artists Programme
ASP is committed to supporting and encouraging young and emerging artists in the development of their art song repertoire.
Performance opportunities for two emerging artists are offered at each recital, providing valuable experience in public performance, as well as working with more experienced professionals. The recitals give all performers the opportunity to share experience, and build professional networks.
Financial support is available to talented young musicians through the Evelyn and Ralph Thompson Memorial Scholarship
Masterclasses are conducted by local and visiting artists, most recently by Sara Macliver, one of Australia's leading exponents of Baroque repertoire, and Marilyn Phillips, recitalist, vocal coach and Chorus Director of the WASO Chorus.
